She broke down again today The cold seeped too far into her insides In through dents and cracks and rust Memories of heat and cold and kids Bumper stickers plastered to her behind Holding her together for one more ride When the radiator gave way I strayed Off to look for a newer car I drove my new lover home Past the lot where my old love waited After my betrayal, she stood with her back to me.
