The Weird and The Wacky Meet

Where YouBetIAm comes to write….

Metaphors and Similes

Before you read this, you should know it’s not a real poem, just some random metaphors I did for creative writing that I liked...

I am a key stuck tight in an un-lubricated lock pushing at a door that is warped and cracked and bursting at the frame.

Hard to open even when pushed hard, leaned against, shoved.

My secrets are left behind me, inside but sometimes visible from gaps in drapes and shades.

I am an apple, not papaya or pomegranate where the juice dribbles down the chin and leaves deep red stains where the heart is a pulsing jungle filled with exotic fruits I’ll never be.

My thoughts are like a rapid river, bubbling up like disjointed caffeine on the rocks.

I am like a platypus, no one knows just how to describe what I am or where I fit in.
