Haiku

Everything strewn ‘bout

Quite a distraction from my

Work due tomorrow

 

Small furry sleeping beast

Rising chest softly rumbles

How sweetly it snores

 

Sweet and bitter coats

my tongue.  This will sooth me with

sugar in caffeine

 

 

Limerick

 

There is a limerick for everything

Clever words that one can fling

Off the top of the head

Plus the way that it’s said

All coming to be the poet’s ping
